BRINC and The National League of Cities Partner to Help Cities Nationwide Deploy Drones to 911 Calls
This next-generation drone initiative aims to modernize emergency response and keep American communities and those who protect them safe.
BRINC is pleased to announce the launch of the BRINC–NLC Drone as First Responder Program, the first national initiative of its kind designed to help cities, towns and villages across America deploy drones to 911 calls. This program will improve emergency response times, enhance situational awareness and help keep communities safe.
Drone as First Responder (DFR) programs use strategically placed drones in charging nests that can reach a scene within seconds of a call for service. In many cases, they arrive before first responders on the ground, providing live video, two-way communication and real-time information to dispatchers and responders. This helps improve safety and allows agencies to use their resources more efficiently. As cities focus more on secure, U.S.-made technology, the BRINC–NLC partnership gives local leaders direct access to expert support, implementation guidance and proven best practices.
“Every day, local governments deliver for their residents by utilizing practical, proven tools that help first responders do their jobs safely and effectively,” said Clarence E. Anthony, CEO and Executive Director of the National League of Cities. “NLC’s partnership with BRINC ensures our members have access to trusted information and leading technology as they explore drone as first responder programs in their communities.”
BRINC is the largest drone manufacturer focused exclusively on the public safety industry, with more than 900 police and fire agencies across all 50 states deploying its systems in daily operations. The Seattle-based company designs and manufactures NDAA-compliant drone systems, supporting domestic supply chain resilience and secure public safety missions.
“We are proud to partner with the National League of Cities to support local leaders evaluating DFR programs,” said Blake Resnick, Founder and CEO of BRINC. “Our focus is simple: build reliable, American-made drone systems that help first responders save lives. Working with NLC allows us to directly support mayors, city managers, and public safety leaders who are at the forefront of emergency response.”
Through the BRINC–NLC Drone as First Responder Program, BRINC will act as the exclusive drone partner of the National League of Cities and help cities across the country launch DFR. The partnership focuses on education, direct engagement with members and collaboration with local leaders. Its goal is to speed up the safe and responsible use of DFR nationwide. Together, NLC and BRINC want to make DFR a standard part of modern emergency response in cities and towns across the United States.
